Sales Numbers of Bus Driver 2d expeirence rush

2....
Only 2....
despite putting it on sale... for 25% - 33% for weeks...
despite trying so very very hard to put out a game.
Only 2 sales have been made across the board.....

This is very depressing.... I don't know what to do with my life...
I have been making games for so long, none of them going anywhere.
I finnally put one of my projects up for sale and only 2 sales.... D:|
My older games I put up on gamejolt and even that hasn't gone well for me.
It always seems like the world is against me.

vs 2013 WTF Microsoft

So apparently not even a year later ms vs 2012 was out dated apparently... They released a new visual studio in 2013 right after they released visual studio 2012. 2012 is for windows 8... 2013 is for 8.1.... They still forced 2012 users to REBUY the same peice of software with a few small very very small minor tweeks.
This is down right retarded.... It is required for construct 2 to use webgl something they had in 2012 but took out because $$$. The stupidity of this is just to great....
fuck you microsoft.... I don't understand why anyone hasn't down right boy cotted or even reported in on this load of horse fuck releasing a new visual studio every year now... Its $300-400 peice of software the least you can do is update it instead of holding those updates hostage for another $300-400....

GameJolt publishing to is really easy

Recently I have been porting all my old construct 2 games to gamejolt, I found it to be really quickly and really fast to do. So far it has a rather large userbase and many of the games I made have already been played more than on google chrome, or windows 8 store in just a few days in comparison to a year and 3 months.

I have gotten more feed back aswell from them as well.
The achievement system and highscores system is really really simple to add into your game once you install the construct 2 gamejolt plugin.
Here are just a few of the games I made and have up on game jolt:

Bank Robbery Drop

Death Smash Crash

Run over as many people as possible before you are out of time.

WiiU Reivews: The Letter

I have a first time expression video here:

Gameplay

General

The letter is a first person "horror" title that depends on the users imagination to create fear and fright, to create a conflict with the player.

Controls

A - interact
B - Jump
Y- Flashlight(useless to have off)
Left Stick - Move
Right Stick - Look

When looking for these things you will want to explore the game world, but there is only jump, flashlight, interact(only with items you can pick up),looking around, and move. The controls for moving is rather too precise, just trying to walk in a straight line is a challenge.  Looking around is inverted, and kind of the opposite it is sluggish which isn't bad in this use.

Story( Contains Spoilers)

For the most part I was confused on what the story was until I played all the way through it. You play as a child investigating the supportive death of your parents. You start at your home, then into a valley, then into a town, then into a medical place, and finally on a beach.

Your home

You have to find a "note".
There is a hidden note that explains your position but is hard to read unless you are playing it in HD, but even then is hard to read because it is a note on the floor and you have to be looking at it with no crouch or zoom button. This is not the note you are looking for but rather just something small there explaining. They are found through out the game as well just as hard if not harder based on placement.

The Valley

You have to find a "weapon", and 2 clues.
While looking around they have a wanted photo of someone, trying to make the player think this might be the murder. There are teddy bears saying "Help", they don't do anything but supposedly trying to scare the player....

The Town

You are looking for a key to open up the medical place.
There looks like a lot of stuff here but there really isn't much to explore, a lot of things don't make any sense what so ever when you read the signs.

The Medical place

Just wait.....
It is empty with a empty used syringe and blood stain slab. With a wall spray painted "Wait for it..".

The Beach

Look for a letter.
Once you get to the beach you are confused, and notice two large beach chairs on a empty island with trees, and a casibo... When you read the letter it says that your parents will be right back, and then you realize that the game was nothing but a dream...

Graphics

For a small game made by a single person I would not expect much on this end. That being said I am not against them in anyway just simple small things are off, such as proportions, things like on screen displays for letters would be nice even if it was just on the wiiu gamepad.

I understand that this game is based off a concept of dreaming but when the player is not dreaming there are things on the beach that are just way off. Small trees and large beach lay down chairs with a casibo that is barely taller.

Virdict

I don't feel right putting a score value on this title because been there done that....
The Eshop user rating for the game is a 2/5 when I did this review if you want a score.

Steam Music player finally...

So buying soundtracks for games for the longest time was a issue on steam, games would "include" them for extra fees but you would have to dig through files just to find them and most you could just rip from games anyways but it was a real problem when developers would encrypt their sound tracks that they "included" with a bundle at a higher price.
The other thing this is useful for is big Picture/SteamOS, it supposively grabs your music from your music library folder for your user and allows you to play them but over 1/2 my music isn't really showing in it so that functionality is lacking big time, granted I do have a collection of 14gb of just music. Steam seems to only think I have 63 albums including the games that apparently were suppose to include their sound tracks which only a few of them actually did. I have around 200 albums...
And steam isn't even showing all 63 albums it registers, it is only showing 32....

Memory wise it does better than chromes music player but it has more hick ups, and selecting all your music at once and trying to put it in a shuffle is harder....

As of right now it is in early phases and has a lot to improve on....

Steam Requires TAX information.... Valve is greedy as hell

If you sell a lot of items on steam you will notice that a warning message now pops up saying if you want to sell more than 200 items by the end of the year you will have to fill out some information. This information is for taxes... the problem with this is the fact that you never see any real money, the money is only for steam that you recieve thus valve always has that money you never really make a single cent.

To be taxed on income not received is purely asinine, it is to save valve money on money they make and doesn't really help the users by putting the blame on them for valve making hand over fists in micro-transactions. The only thing you are allowed to get valve bucks to trade in for items or games in which they take a small percentages from each transaction of those as well.

So you get taxed on the sales of each item, then they want to throw actual taxes on you because they don't want to claim the money they make from micro-transactions none of which the user sees the light of day of, they have to spend it on valves store and nothing else. This means it is entirely valves money not the users because the user can't access it. Why in the hell should any user be taxed for money they do not get.

Good places to release construct 2 games and some not so good.

So the last few weeks I have been working on getting "Bus driver 2d experience rush" published and released for the last few weeks and so far I have had different experiences with each platform and where.
As of right now the porting tools for construct 2 to android are kinda bad, I am working on finding a different way than phonegap, or cocoonjs because they are terrible, and that is half my problems with them.

This list is only based off what I have used so far, not to be mistaken for something else, and is not based off the most popular stores fronts unless they have a actual value of it.

But here are some of the good places to publish free games to once you have made your own game:

3.Scirra arcade, it is construct 2's arcade websiite which can bring a game some more attention than other places. More people will be willing to play your game on it more than likely.

2. GameJolt
It has built in leader boards, and trophies and gives you a percentage of ad revenue, and is somewhat popular, with unfinished games and finished games a like.

1. Itch.io
Your game doesn't have to be free, you can charge what ever you like and even implment a pay what you want service fee and incorperate the API into your game to charge in-game for it.

google play and chrome are decent places but from what I have seen from anayltics is that most of the downloads, and feed back comes from out of country, and usually it isn't helpful. But people do play. They are decent and there is a lot of places that are too. But they are not as good

Some of the worse:

3.Microsoft windows 8 store/phone:
They both have the same problems, they charge you to be able to publish your games, in which it is not self publishing. They run vigerious tests and depending on who is testing it they may even fail you simply because they don't like it, there is no refund, to even be able to do anything you need to pay them. Occasionally they do have events held but it costs $50 for a registered account for.

2.Ouya, simply because the lack of support from them, and cocoonjs & phonegap, if you plan on charging for your game you have to make $150 first to get paid. They feel they can have these types of policies because google play does it when they have a small limited number of active users and a small install base in which isn't willing to spend money on games and whines about how expensive games are, especially when they cost more than google plays but the $150 thing is probably to do with it, in which they don't even pay you until a month after the fact. I tried doing a beta release on it and tried charging $0.99 donations for it and only got 2 out of 130 downloads. $1.98 that ouya will have either for ever or they already spent it and have a I.O.U for me.

1. Amazon
Amazon is ok if you ignore their lack of respect for the consumers and sellers, and ignore their terrible customer service for both. They are really bad at it, AND if you plan on making any money off your games they will screw you over, they fuck over small developers massively, refuse to support them, close accounts, and placing restrictions on them over asking simple questions, and refuse to remove restrictions, and refuse you another account. They fuck you over, and try to steal the money your apps make off their store, all of it.

Amazon pulls a dick move for developers, they require they have a amazon account, a developer account, and a payments account. The payments account they have a identify verification system for, and it is used for transactions between you and amazon for developers and sellers. For a developer account they also require identity verification for tax information. For small time developers as soon as a game starts selling they sometimes pull their payments accounts claiming they could not find your information and verify it. Now the same information I used for taxes I used for payments account, which means they are either lieing or looking for information that is sold or attempting to sell, possibly credit scores as well. They refuse to tell you anything.

Here is their email refusing to help me, after I emailed their support staff and they refused to tell me anything about why my regular accounts are locked down, why my developer account is(couldn't even pull the games I put on their store), and wouldn't tell me why they are punishing me for asking questions to support about things that should be covered in support. Like when do I get paid for the apps sold, and them telling me I need a payments account but not answering why it was closed passed they couldn't verify the information when it was the same information I used for register taxes on my developer account.
"Dear Daniel,

I'm Anthony Gose of Amazon.com's Executive Customer Relations. Jeff Bezos received your email and asked me to respond on his behalf.

While I understand it’s disappointing we weren’t able to verify your Amazon Payments account, I want to assure you we aren’t selling your information. I regret we've been unable to address your concerns to your satisfaction; however, we'll not be able to offer any additional insight or action on these matters. Along with that they attempted to keep my apps up on their store while it raked in money until I threaten legal actions against them, then they pulled it and kept all the money from sales like the assholes they are. Fuck you Amazon....

At this point I have nothing nice to say to you.

I can't afford it, and even if I could I wouldn't spend it on your effortless services, anyone with a camera could do. BTW I have better gameplay footage of it than you could produce with a camera. Don't even bother trying to convince me it takes you a lot of work to produce a few minuet video and put a small 3-5 paragraph review up. You spent more time trying to convice someone who can not afford your services to pay for your services than it would have taken you to do said services.

Please stop trying, I am not your target market by a longshot. I follow the believe that word of mouth, is the only right way to market any product or service. Seeing how you demand money from the content providers put in very little effort into promoting them and charge them for a service of reviewing their product to the public I see it as immoral as you are being paid by the content provider to please the content provider and not to inform the public honestly and truthfully about the said product. I am also very poor and your target market is for people who have money and are willing to throw it around like its nothing, I hardly have enough to survive off of and conserve what little I get.

I have over 1k in downloads in total of all the platforms I released it on. That is more than I hoped for from a FREE app.

Hi,
I tried Bus Driving 2d experience rush, and I think it will be a big shame if you don’t use a video review to show features, since all of these great features will not be highlighted.
All successful apps have great video reviews:

Marble Blast 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbDVugwc62Q
Tap Play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6zV177PkiY
We have helped a lot of developers make video reviews; they are very satisfied with the video reviews and even used them as their official videos on Google Play.
Downloads in the early launch period of an app will decide it’s ranking in Google Play, and for a games app like yours, it is quite possible to become popular over night if you take extra effort to promote your app with video review from third parties.
Would you like to make a video review to help viewers become users?

Hi,

I just thought I’d check if you had received my email few days ago. I wanted to make sure they went through and haven't heard back.

I think ' Bus Driving 2d experience rush ' is very nice, and you should show the great features it has to encourage everyone to download ' Bus Driving 2d experience rush '.

Could you please sent your feedback so we can discuss?

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the information you provided.

The design of "Bus Driving 2d experience rush" is excellent. I think it needs videos to highlight its’ unique features.

Video spreads faster on search engines and websites. Your app users can view and share your app in an intuitive way. Most successful apps are using video reviews to enhance their publicity.

The following links show some examples:

The Video review and Text review only costs $159. You video review will online within only 7 business days. Click to check more details.

Sorry for the delay response, I have not been able to access my email for a few weeks, with several different emails.

I would like to make it available to as many users as possible.

The game was part of Microsoft's Keep the cash event, because of issues with registering for windows 8 store I was set back to developing 9 games within a month, June, I currently have it on chrome store, googe play, windows 8 store, and on my site with windows xp & up, mac, and linux builds.

I ended up using construct 2 to make all the games in the event, and it ended up being the 2nd game I had done using construct 2. The game's art work I had made in a couple days, and the game was done in 3 days. It took over a week to publish to windows 8 store, but less than a day to publish to google play and chrome store.

When developing it I was heavily inspired by games like desert bus, I know it sounds silly but its true. I looked at what was wrong with it, and how I could make it more enjoyable to play. Then I remembered playing shareware titles, I can not re-call the name of it but you would try to go as far as possible, and as you went along you would get gas to continue going, I enjoyed that. I also remembered Spy Hunter for NES was that way but with crashing and getting repaired by vans. I also wanted to have a bonus score system if you drove too close to other cars it would reward you with points as you pass them by, kinda like in crazy taxi but not the same at all. I was trying to have those capabilities without completely just doing a copy paste job of the games that kinda inspired and influenced this game.

I never intended to sell bus driver/driving 2d experience rush, nor any of the games involved with the event. It is definitly the most popular games out of the event I made no matter where I put it. But I have yet to get all the games from the event on android or chrome web browser. I am surprized by the out come, I made the game simplistic because I look for simplistic a games myself.

I hope this is enough information you are looking for a game made in such a short time,
best wishes,
Daniel Musial

Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie Review

2.25/5
Bleh.... its not bad... but not good...

 The Simple:

O its own it doesn't stand well, but with knowing who he is what his show is about, it is what my low expectations came in and matched. I have low expectations for all movies now a days so when they do more I am "WOW'D" by it when they do it right, that didn't happened so it was matched. The movie relies too heavily on knowing who AVGN as a character is, and too much on his fans, in which he makes a bunch of assumptions about his fans.

It is like if the thatguywiththeglasses movie had a actual loose plot, and a actual backing of money to blow on it and then spent that money based off popular film locations, with the only reason of filming there is the cost.

 The broken down:

The movie felt as if it was more or less a EGO booster more than anything else, with pretty much worship from "fans", many of which paid to be in the movie, it actually made them look bad, and even calling the fans as a whole a pack of zombies in a part of the movie because they are pushing him into doing something he doesn't want to do as a character.... This insinuating that he listens to his fans...

It was good that he didn't put the secondary character as Mike, and brought in people who acted quiet well. The actors were good at acting, even James was.

But the problem is the story, I understand it was suppose to be corny humor here and there filled with cliches and references to games, and other movies. That I don't have a problem with, I actually laughed at one or two of them.

The problem lies that the movie expects too much on that everyone likes AVGN's content. When that is far from the truth, and that everyone that watches it is a fan and demands he reviews ET, when not all fans do. The movie also depends on you knowing the AVGN other wise you won't get some of the references he does to his reviews, in most of the scenes.

There is plenty of 4th wall breaking which end up just being terrible, and ruin the attempts of explaining this broken story that really needed a lot more work when it breaks down to a 2 hour long movie.

It rivals movies done by the That guy with the glasses, but charging its fans to even view it not to mention the making of it which a extremely high budget that really doesn't show. Other than the film locations in a few of the scenes in which is only brief and a few seconds. A lot of the movie is done with still images with green screen, and in this one location.

The use of HD camera with image focus effects in every scene of the entire movie was a thing....

This is more or less for the die hard fans of his show, as a movie on its own I wouldn't say it stands well. If you are a AVGN fan you probably have already bought it instead of reading my review, if not it might not be for you since it falls flat on its face as a movie.

The really bad behind:

Several of the people in and involved with the movie already released their opinions, thoughts, and some even "reviewed it" which would not be honest since most of them left out that they were in the movie thus involved with its creation.

Which at that point it isn't a review it is a promotion, there is nothing wrong with it so long as you are honest, and many of them were not honest with the fact that they were directly involved with its creation, such as Doug Walker. In which he acted like he wasn't involved at all, and he even presented a premier of it and still acted like he wasn't involved. But then goes on to try to say he audiencied to be in it but not in it but he was in it.

Mario Kart 8 gets COD map pack... I mean DLC

So as many "gaming news journalism" sites have already reported in on, and many copy paste youtubers have spoken out on, Mario Kart 8 is getting 2 DLC packs which are bundling. Which comes with a bunch of model replacements with audio swaps, and stat changes and maps.

It is $8 each or $12 bundled... now we know people are going to buy them seperatly and be fooled into spending $16 because they come out at different times... one comes out this year, the other comes out next year....

"new characters pack 1": Link, Cat Peach, Tanooki Mario..... Oh no not another mario and peach character, you know there is already 3 mario's, and 2 peaches.... the only reason people remotely care about the characters in this pack is link.... and oh big woop a zelda model in a mario kart game that is so innovative... not... Oh look imma throw link in any game and try to charge that as DLC and I bet it will sell because it has link or zelda ties to it... moving on...

"new characters pack 2": Villager, Isabelle,  Dry Bowser.....
two animal crossing characters.... and another bowser.... Do I need to say more...

each pack comes with 4 vehicles just in case you didn't want to make the game more unbalanced for online play.... PAY TO WIN...

And now to the thing that everyone thinks that matters the most... MAP PACKS....

So you get 8 courses with each map pack, and NONE of them are for the broken Battle mode, all of them are racing courses.... I am sure some if not all were either cut levels, or unfinished rushed out levels, if not

All of this for a unfinished game, if they were not Nintendo this stuff wouldn't fly... I mean people are saying its like 1/3 the game for crying out loud that they are charging  even more money for.. Its funny because 1/3 the game was levels from previous mario kart games in which None of them were battle maps either, and they charged $60 for this... I probably would have never bought it if I didn't get free games with it, and I was expecting it to be free patched in there because I thought nintendo wouldn't pull a microsoft and lock its content behind paywalls, that is the whole reason I even bought my WiiU is to not get screwed over...

It is a fun game, it is just unfinished... By locking out 1/3 the maps, and making it pay to win it makes it not fun. This is just like COD map packs, and gun reskins except for with racers and vehicles...

Nintendo DLC Quest was a joke... stop taking it seriously...

this is where I got my information from originally:http://www.christiantoday.com/article/mario.kart.8.dlc.packs.include.new.racers.karts.tracks/40056.htm

Sign to hopefully fix battle mode maybe nintendo probably wont listen: http://www.change.org/p/nintendo-fix-battle-mode-in-mario-kart-8
