WIFI/Bluetooth lag:Often when connecting 2 or more controllers, or using a application like Kainy, netflix, streaming services, or downloading you will notice a bluetooth & wifi problem. Even with their new settings to prioritize which really doesn't do ANYTHING you will run into this problem.
Some can only be resolved by buying the new 16gb model such as wifi/bluetooth connective problems. As shown in the Ben Hack Show the Ouya has a single chip handling the bluetooth and wifi. In the newest model ouya team claims to remity this ale of a problem, not mentioning how just saying they improved the controllers, when its not the controllers it is the ouya unit itself. The controllers function just fine as controllers to other devices without obstructing their wifi connection after connecting more than 1 ouya controller. Until full details are given Ethernet, is one of the easiest solutions.
If you have a problem with getting a wired connection you can always use a wifi to ethernet adapter. If you are playing somewhere with only wireless this could be the only option, especially if its a game like amazing frog with always online DRM, which has plagued the ouya console because the Ouya Team forced it on the developers, some have been kind enough to make work arounds, but all of which require you to connect online atleast once for every install.
Controller re-Sync issuesLike the previous issue this is over the bluetooth/wifi chip in the ouya, this problem though deals with a issue where you have to re-sync the controller. You will have to re-sync your controller every time it happens. For me it happens when ever I turn the machine off and turn it on. This issue has been happening since the abominal snowman update, along with that snes controllers no longer work in menus and many emulators. The only real way to solve this problem is by using a wired controller which will have problems with most games you run.
Downloading & Adding to Queue, never happensThis issue is sometimes happens when you start trying to download a game, it will say adding to queue then it won't download. It instead is never added to the queue to even download in the first place. The only way to solve this problem is by turning the ouya all the way off and turning it back on, in which the problems could happen again right away, which is very fustraighting.
OverscanOverscan was a very confusing issue when the system launched till they re-designed the background. The issue is the previous designed background was ment to be displayed text that cut off the screen which when people reported the issue they kepted refferencing that issue. But there was some actual overscan issues going on which were actually rare but it still happens on certain screens. The solution to this would be to root your ouya and change your ouya's resolution with Xposed Installer, RootMyOuya by wonderEkin@XDA, and Mod Collection for Ouya also by wonderEkin@XDA... When you first do this it maybe glitchy and if you upscale it higher than the display can display it will be very glitchy. Sometimes it glitches out the startup animation but after its done playing its fine.
Other Problems I havn't found any solution too
- Changing Background
- Keyboard isn't displaying
