THIS POST HAS OLD INFORMATION AND IS OUTDATED
Cocoonjs is a wonderful tool to take html5 games and export them to various different platforms created by ludei. But recently they have been adding more and more platforms to claim support without actually putting in the effort of actually testing it out themselves. One of which is support for Ouya a android microconsole. The default export settings are missing a very important intent from the ouya's software library and that is the intent to access it as a game or a application. Neither one is stored in the permissions file in the android manifest which you can not even edit because it is encrypted.
I have seen many people claim they can make a game using cocoonjs but I have yet to see any of them actually put it in the appstore, only seen them debugging it with a apk not even designed for the ouya. Even with the gamepad extension added it is rendered useless if you can not actually publish it on the ouya to claim to support it but not really support it. All it would take ludei is to add this to the default android manifest file for ouya exports
<category android:name="tv.ouya.intent.category.GAME" />
But they haven't since they claimed to add Ouya support. They mearly claimed they did to get more people using their services. I even have a premium account and I can't even edit my manifest file.
So any and all my ouya games I planned on releasing are delayed till cocoonjs fixes their crap, or canceled.
Which kinda makes me want to never use cocoonjs ever again.
Which practically makes me purchasing construct 2 a waste of so much of my money.
Ludei is a bunch of douchebags for lieing to us, claim you support something and even allow us to export apk's using your services claiming it will work when it doesn't. Making me look like a ASS for telling all of these people that I would make a game for Ouya because you claimed you would support it so I was going to use your services.
