M-Audio Keystation 49es Review

The M-Audio Keystation 49es is a midi keyboard controller in a family of a series of low cost minimalistic keyboards. I got my from a Guitar center about 2 miles away from where I live, it was only $69.99. Which compared to the korg nanokey2 mini controller running at $59.99 seeing how the korg only has 2 octives and the keys are buttons not keys, meaning with the korg you get a crappy feel and very limited.  I have both devices... my korg  broke very quickly.

Back to the M-Audio KeyStation 49es...

It has octive up & down buttons to move up and down octaves, and a edit mode button which allows you to change keys values to help you even then. The device also has many command functionalities which I have not figured out yet but they are in the user manual. According to the manual you can shift octaves around, there is a lot of functionality about channels I don't really understand it just yet.

Of course there is pitch and modulation, on this device they are on a wheel that only does half rotations. For pitch Up is going to make the pitch go Up and Down will make the pitch go Down. For Modulation it is more about how much is done, down is off and the more you go up the more modulation happens.]

There is also a volume dial which allows you to modify the volume on the device.

As for the keys they perform exactly like most piano keys, not heavy ones light ones though. So soft push instead of a hard push on them will bring them down.

As for weight the whole keyboard is very light, and its mid sized so it is still relatively easy to take around. The usb B cord it comes with how ever is very very sort so don't expect to be far from your computer with it... Which is a major down side but easily fixable with a extension or longer cord.  It is powered by the USB cord as well so its low powered.

The device comes with free music programs if you redeem a passcode online. The software is usable but not something I prefer.

The device is compatible from windows, mac, and linux but you may need to install the drivers online from their website.

This device for its price point I would say pick it up if you are interested in playing keyboard, or recording music without spending too much on equipment.

Bully PC Game Review


Bully is a 3rd person shooter like game similar to GTA, but there is no killing in this game. You can only knock people out and doing that can be difficult based on the different factions you attack. Any teacher, police, administrator or hall monitor can take you down with a single grab with the random chance of allowing you to break out of their grabs by spaming the Y button on a 360 controller. Which you have many different attacks, which you will want to lock on to your enemies to do so. So yes its a lock-on system like game.

In the game you play as a kid named James Hopkins, without containing too many spoilers James's mother and step father drop you off. As you soon find out the school has many different factions Nerds/Geeks, Jocks, Greasers, Preps, and then there is Russles crew which idk what the heck they are suppose to be other than bullies that are not jocks but act like jocks. There is another faction but to explain them would spoil the game. My first thought when I saw this game so many years ago was, "Oh god gta for kids in a school, Rockstar has no idea what they are doing." too bad about a hour in I found sexual refferences left and right, along with that things that would seem to go over a childs thought process. The story I didn't like until half way through, someone put a lot of effort into this game, then the ending came by and it was half ass-ed. Predictable fight that many should have died in, omgwtf explosions that should have killed off one of main characters but didn't, still standing with 3rd degree burns and running. They clearly were avoiding making anyone die in the story.

As for the classes you go to, it is all forced by authority characters, if you are late to class they will hunt you down and drag you to class. Not saying they know where you are. Each class is more or less a set of mini-games, some really bad like the shop class, some are actually educational like biology and geography, and some are broken as hell like english which is just scrabled letters where you have to find as many words as possible with those letters within a limited list plenty of real words it won't register but those are not in the list which you don't know till you find them. This game has something lacking in GTA games that would make them a million times better GOOD AI. The AI can not see through objects, you can sneak around them. Many missions require you to, it felt more like a stealth game at times than a cheap knock off of a GTA game. That is what I like most about this game. As for vehicles you have these options, a skateboard which sits in your inventory for any time use, yes you can jump with it but no tricks, Bike, you can do back-flips and front flips, and at a point a moped.

I found the game to be more fun at times than not fun, granted the class rooms felt like a chore but each time you completed a assignment you would earn something more that would either improve actions or unlock abilities but you only had 2 classes a day and you didn't get to choose. I would rate it 7/10, most of the game is good, just small parts that I think came down to meeting a dead line and the overseers of Rock Star not giving a dam while clearly the project manager did. Took me 41 hours to beat the game but I 89% completed it with collecting most of the items in the game, and most of the classes(took up most of the time with its limit).

If we don't stop them our right to ownership will be gone..

With the abuse of software licenses taking away our right to own anything digitally companies are trying to find a way to spread that to real world objects. With 3d printing technology they have found that door.You see with software you don't own it, you buy something digitally you don't own the item you paid for with the intent of owning, you just merrily have a license to use it which can be taken away from you at any time from the company you purchased, made, or funded "published" depending on whom wrote the licenses agreement and their intents. They can put anything they want in those license agreements, and sue you for violating it. Which is why companies have been looking for a door to do something like this to sue as many people as possible and abuse their customers as much as they want and establish a fear tactical ownership over their consumers.

With 3d printing technology many companies have placed patents, copyrights, and extremely abusive licenses agreements taking away ownership from the 3d printed items. I wrote a article a few months back on one such item 3d printed ouya cases, but it is spreading like wild fire. Some companies have already started selling those blue prints for 3d printers and began selling also the items themselves with those abusive licenses agreements attached to abuse the consumers by any means they see fit to try to sue them one day.

It may lead to them actually putting spying devices on to them like software has, and may lead them to sueing us claiming we don't own it we just have a licenses to use the said object and labeling it a service much like software does. We the people need to end this abuse software licenses have gone too far. If you have the intent of ownership with a transaction you should own it no labeling what clearly is a product a service.

Rage review


Rage has a lot of problems…. Now I love ID games but rage is worse than brink and brink was quite bad itself I will leave that for a different review…

What is wrong with rage’s story:

Rage has a very short story that could be told in a few sentences to a few paragraph in video format it could  be told in 30 seconds and nothing would be lost. Nothing at all…. Once you get to what you think would be the end of the introduction to the story you are already 2/3rds the way through the game. Once the story starts to pick up the game just ends in one of the worst ways I have seen in a game. Nothing is explains, the big confendation with the “Bad guys” which has no face or character behind them or explaining why they are “bad guys” other than they make a mutant army and they want you to help them  to crush a small resistances group makes little to no since at all.

The Sewers DLC:
You are greeted with a man claiming there are sewers you can access throughout all of the game you just have to look for them. Guess what I only found the one sewer and I looked.
The Authority Pack DLC:
You get a set of armor that combines what all the other armors pick, making it pointless to pick from them. A car that is not worth using at all. You also get a double barrel saw off shotgun which is over powered.
The gameplay:
It’s a choir typical random door closes can’t move on till everything in rooms are dead. Wash rise repeat for most of the game. A few boss like mutants none at the end of the game other than mutants with guns which are still easy to kill and not a threat at all. Just save your ammo and punch them.  Has a racing part and driving parts which are meh.

The over all game:
The game suffers from a identity crisis it trys too hard to be a fallout, wasteland, borderlands clone then randomly tries to be a racing game. Then near the end of the game tries to be like a game it should have been to begin with. Then it just cuts short right when I actually started to enjoy it. It’s a waste of money a waste of space, and a waste of ID’s time clearly Bethesda rushed ID to finish it because the engine, story, and gameplay is so bad. There is nothing to redeem itself.

I give it 2/10 generic apples.

Ouya November 21st quick fix bricks system.

After receiving and downloading the Ouya's latest quick fix it had started to have connection problems with Ouya's servers. It was able to connect to the point where you could receive data from the discovery menu, but it was not able to download a single game. After noticing that I noticed that several games had updates, so it was able to tell what games needed to update as well. But when it came time to downloading it just got shoved into in-queue with nothing actually downloading. With updates being forced on the user it makes the system basically a brick.

I thought that the download manager could be broken which would explain why everything was being shoved into in-queue but still being able to connect to Ouya's servers to grab the discovery list which had updated since I downloaded the patch with Grid Iron Thunder finally releasing.

After realizing it was basically a brick I decided maybe a factory reset would fix that download manager problem. That is where my frustration became anger. After doing a factory reset early this month, because a patch disabled the ability to access wifi settings (turning on and turning off and my was stuck on turned off) it became apparent to me that I would have to do it more frequently as the patches are now being rushed out for the holiday season to fix issues to get the system to sell.

After doing the factory reset I was greeted with a message telling me that I can not connect to the Ouya servers, if I can not connect to the ouya servers on the same connection I am typing this out on the same time I am typing this out. Then how was I able to post this? I can connect to everything else but Ouya's servers apparently. I through out the day I have tried it on several different networks as well including my home cable Internet, my cellphones hot-spot, tether, and at several friends houses and I got the same message unable to connect to Ouya's servers. This has been on going for several days now, I have sent support requests which will probably go unlooked at even stating that my ouya is now a brick....

Ouya team you done screwed up worse than the launch now in my book.
I managed to fix it with a recovery process.

The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths Released on humble

So in September I went kickstarter crazy. Soon after amazon basically closed my payments account I was not able to fund several games because amazon closed my payments account down because one of my apps I made on their store started to get sales. They closed it down to keep the money for themselves they locked me out from all of my accounts across the board for basic functionality including the option to pull apps from the store. So I decided to re-name all my apps amazon steals from me cause that was their intent was to not pay me at all.  They decided to pull it down finally, they also disabled me from doing many things acrossed all of my other accounts so I changed all my information deleted the old information. So then they could sell fake information since they closed my account with hostility and refusing to follow through. Now I did not violate anything in their user agreement, developer agreement, or payments agreement. They just felt that they could abuse me and rake-in money in the process with my information and my apps. Point being I am boycotting Amazon thus kickstarter now inherently, it doesn't mean I wont fund projects I just wont do it through kickstarter many projects offer alternative methods such as paypale which I would gladily use over.

Oh right the game,


When playing the game for the first time I was not surprised at all by the dialog scenes it felt like I was being rushed into the game play with nothing really explained or making much since, I have watched the older show not the newer one so that could be my problem. The game play is a point and click puzzle game in a top down perspective.  In the first level I notice there is these flat curvy type of walls with no tops on them making it look a bit odd, like a entire side of a model with no texture but that was out in front. I also notice that the boundaries of the levels are not defined like it looks like you could walk out side them if not for the black space of nothingness about 100  to 300 pixels away depending on the spot of the invisible wall. meaning on some levels you see blackness(end of the actual levels image).

The game as of right now is unpolished. Its not bad, its latter stages are more polished than some of the earilyer ones but I have yet to get through the entire game.

Bus driver 2d Experience Rush Update 1

Currentily I am still working on it, but if the ouya port of bus driver 2d experience is delayed again this will be the problem. Currentily I am using construct 2 with cocoonjs, I had just received a premium account. I am still learning how to use all the configuration and options while trying to make a ouya version of the game, along with major improvements to the over all game.

I have developed android apps before not using construct 2 & cocoonjs. I have used the vanilla android SDK provided by google. Its not fun for me, the UI looks dull, and the over all users don't like all their apps looking the same. I understand the issue of this error the problem is I am not using native android, and cocoonjs claims to be supporting ouya releases but I am not entirely sure now how to resolve this issue since it is needed to be added in before or during the compiling process with cocoonjs. If it requires some javascript then I will have to show users how since there is no guide it would seem online for making a construct 2 w/ cocoonjs guide anywhere neither is there a phonegap. The time and need for it looks like it has been dragged on for too long and there are better engines to use for ouya ports it would seem. That or I am a anomaly with this issue and problem and I did something wrong in which I know not what I did wrong.

I am sorry for the lack of screenshots or gameplay footage. But I feel as I am adding to the game it is not ready to be shown as little actually differers appearence wise since the last update I have done. Mostily as construct 2 users would call eventsheets have changed massively. It looks completely different now with more optimization to get better frame rates on lower end hardware.

I have also received no more crash reports since the last update, which means one of two things. either no one is sending them or the problem has been fixed with the last patch.

Bus Driver 2d Experience Rush Google Play Patched

While I have been working on bus driver 2d I received several notfications and emails from users. The feedback I had gotten was world wide. The game crashed on a number of devices after a minor engine update in which broke old code I had. In-response I rushed out the current build I am working on for ouya.
As of right now cocoonjs does not support the ouya gamepad on any other android devices than the ouya itself.

Every button on the controller causes people to leave, unless you are using a premium account for cocoonjs to compile your code in which you are very lucky if you have one. As for me I continue to setup my builds and they seem to have issues because I lack a premium account. Along with that there are a lot of bugs with using cocoonjs that I have endured but I am also using construct 2. The major issue I am having with the game is scaling.

I keep apply stretch to fit in cocoonjs but in construct 2 they don't really have a option like that. So what happens on my phone is there is a empty blank space every time, on my tablet it looks right. I fix my phones scaling issue and then my tablets is all wrong and this just keeps happening. I don't know what to do at this point.

With the ouya I tested it on many different displays no problems displaying. One of the major delays I am having is in order to publish my game to ouya I have to have a bit of code identifying it as a game or as a app and I can't find out where it is at. That was one of the reasons for the delay. Along with not polished enough.

Right now I am trying to fix up the google play version some more and resolve problems and issues.

PS4 vs Xbox one vs Wiiu Vs Windows 8 the new age consoles and their wars

Introduction:

Hi,
My name is Daniel Musial, I live 2 miles away from Detroit in Michigan, I am a indie game developer/IT professional. I have been gaming as long as I can remember, and when I was a kid I would game on every console and computer I could. Meaning I have been both a console and pc gamer for quite a long time. In 2000 I decided I would like to look into how exactly to develop games, at the time I was only 9 years old. I had already started  making my own mods for games when I was around 7 years old. I had dabbled with game making tools such as game maker (early days of it). I made quite a lot of games from scratch, and from examples of what others had shared and allowed. By middle school I was beginning to learn actual programming and I made a lot of command line games.  In high school I was making my own 2d games, without those game maker tools and things like that, I took a few courses in college going over the introduction courses for game development, in which I already knew most of the information.
I recently have started actually putting my games on market places like Google play, have a few on windows 8 market place even though I hate the platform and suggest no one uses it.

The reason I am stating this all because it is the base of the problem with recent day consoles. You see even though they claim to be indie friendly they really aren't. Go on look for SDK tools yourself, if you can find them you proved me wrong. But for those of you whom actually looked and your efforts felt in-vein you're not the only one. You see they are only grabbing the top of the top for indie game developers not the starving new comers that willl more than likely leave the industry after they realize that it is just so hostile and against them. I am in that boat.

Xbox One :

Just in case some of you don't know what DRM is it is Digital Rights Management. It is any form of restriction, security, or anything by design that prevents the user from doing just about anything. Example NES lock out chip prevented unlicensed games on the NES, back then they just went around the DRM by breaking it basically. 

As the issue began to arise with the DRM policies a lot of developers saw the reaction that players had against them. Microsofts PR was desperatily trying to recovered their damaged PR by any means necessary. Even to go harass people going into stores to pre-order a xbox one. Even harassing and planting people at Nintendo events harassing their competition unfriendly. About 4 months ago I walked into a Walmart with my family. I went to the electronics area where a Microsoft representative was lieing about the DRM policies and bugging everyone who walked in there to pre-order a xbox one, and buy a windows 8 laptop. I asked him will the xbox one be DRM free, he tried to say yes but its up to the developers.  I talked to him about the user agreement trying to get details out of him of policies that he might know that we don't. He avoided the topic matter by trying to say it will have great games and such and that if I was a true gamer I should pre-order one and not care about legalize at all, in other words he doesn't care about conserns just buy a product mindlessly.

The reason this is important is the Xbox one still has DRM even after the changes they did about their policies. Not only is the DRM on the system too abusive for my blood but it is only surrounded by greed by locking you out from non-online functionality. Xbox Live is DRM people. It is required for many things and taskes that both involves your games and functionality of just plan usage.

Verdict:

The number one reason I have and will never own a Xbox of any generation is XBL and the DRM applied. Most of the games are on PC anyways.

Windows 8: 


I figured I might aswell cover this since it involves the same microsoft rep. After I was done talking to him about the xbox one I was trying to see how much he actually knew about the windows 8 laptops he was trying to sell. The guy did not know much about computers at all. He didn't know the difference between mobile hardware and desktop hardware. Nor did he know anything about anything other than microsoft products which again he did not know much about. I went over the legalize with him on that too. 
Then I explained to him everything wrong with windows 8 user term agreement. He rejected all statements even when I brought them up on the display models there.  Since then windows 8 has only gotten worse.

Windows 8.1 user agreement incorporates spyware, windows 8.1 has and is spyware guys, it is stated several times within not only the install process to send information to microsoft but it even states that microsoft retains the rights to any personal and private information you send them. In which in the install process it repeativily tries to get you to install said spyware stating that it wants you to send all your web history to microsoft, and all your files in your documents folders.

Recentily they have attended many Marketing events telling advertises that they can provide them a great place to advertise and information to sell to them. Basically meaning all the spyware in windows 8 is being used to gather your personal information, your own works, and various other information and selling it off to the highest bidder. Oh you clicked on one of their ads and it sent you to porn now they can sell that off to the porn industry, god for bid you hold any important role because that information will eventually be found to be used against you if it means profit for anyone else. Along with that microsoft has been rumored to be sending any and all information to the NSA which I am pretty sure is paying them hand over fist for. The NSA will pretty soon be just as bad as the TSA. Not their worst but pretty dam close. TSA's worst is child molestation.

Verdict:

DO NOT GET WINDOWS 8 AT ALL. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. IT IS SPYWARE STEALING PRIVATE AND PERSONAL INFORMATION AND SELLING IT OFF TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER INCLUDING THE NSA.

Playstation 4:

After the DRM annousement from Microsoft a lot of people jumped ships from Xbox to Playstation without even looking back, or where they where headed. Since earily 2000's I have been weary of Sony with their several different law suits against the gamers in general. They have sued so many people, heck they might even try to sue me for pointing out how many people exactily they sued in the last 10 years for minor things. The Gorge Hots case was the only one that people seemed to notice or even care about. When sony has been sueing their customers and users for minor things like that for many many years. You buy a sony system you do not own it. In 2006 when they released the ps3 they advertised other os, when they took that functionallity away many gamers hacked their ps3's or didn't update it and just kept their other operating systems on their ps3's. One user in the UK was sued for 1 million Euro's just to be shown a example of according to sony. These fear tatics should not be accepted. Along with that their claims of non-drm practices being implemented is and was a straight up lie. the ps4 has HDCP which is a form of DRM to prevent recording devices, software, and converters from reading the video signal over HDMI outputs. Some recording devices have accounted for HDCP but breaking DRM such as that is on the boarder of gray and illegal legal area.  Which if sony repeats the past they will surely take advantage of. Along with that their user agreement is not so good. Along with that they have gone through many updates and in the European user agreement you are not allowed to re-sell or rent games as you do not purchase the software, you purchase the right to use it. Meaning you spend money for them to tell you don't own what you spent your money on with the intent of purchase.

Verdict:

 I will hesitate to buy sony systems because something minor that has no negative out come on someone else that I might want to do with a system I purchased sony might try to sue me over to "show a example of". As I like to tinker with things I spend my  money on. Their solution to tinkers is fear tatics why should I live in fear for something I enjoy doing that doesn't really harm anyone. Not to mention the possibility of spy ware granted it would not effect me much it may effect others more so though since I would only use the system to game on.

WiiU: 

The least evil of the 3 consoles I have talked about so far, but the most problems. So its been over a year since release, even with the ports of games and some minor indie game support there is only 194 games. The ouya with all its ports of games has over 520 and its only been out for 6 months. Granted 194 games is not bad its just the lack of marketing and support has lead a road less travelled going on with the system as a whole. The marketing department really is not aiming for the right crowds of people. It keeps on aiming for kids, with little variety mix. What I mean by this is the Ouya has 520 games, it is a platform that aims for kids, adults, modders, retrogamers , esc... It aims for many many target markets which is why developers jump on it like hot cakes and clearily the developer support was there. With Nintendo they are not aiming for multiple target markets. Some people whom fall under different target markets may buy their system for one reason or another. But Nintendo as a company has no interest in targeting them. The problem is they are a low price point system with a small narrow target market which is concerning and limiting the developers that go to their platforms. Meaning less risk, low rewards, and less to offer.

The other large problem I can no longer ignore is they tie your games to your system not your account. If your system breaks all the digital download games are either gone or you have to continuously get the system repaired. Also a 2nd name for the Wiiu would actually tell people who don't even know about it because they look at it and still think its just the Wii, will tell those people its not the wii. There actually a large percentage of people who still do not know about the Wiiu and do not know its a separate system than the Wii. Keeping the name Wii lead to a lot of misconception about the over all system and its market.

Verdict: 


Would be interested in if they made it easier for developers to make games, a self publishing business model with either a low cost fee paid each month or a large single time fee. Of course also taking a small percentage of each sale on top of either one. All of this would lead to not only more games but a better user experience, more employment  in the industry, and help out the industry as a whole from both the user and developer side of things.

Bus Driver 2d Ouya Delayed

Ouya Version:

Currently, I am unemployed and I was hoping to get this done within the dead line of November 28th but it doesn't look like I will be able to get the game as polished as I would like by then. I spent nearly a week on optimizing the game for the Ouya, mostly logic errors on my part. I have decided to push the game back a entire month, to get done what I wanted too. So you should hear again back from me on the progress by 12/21/2013.  This is a one man team game, with only 6 months development time with the game actually been released on other platforms. When this version is released I will address what I can of the older versions. This version of the game will be entirely different than the previous versions with a overhaul of goodies, and only costing $0.99 to unlock the full game with a free to try business model on what I can get it to work on.

Windows 8 Version:


I never realized just how many bugs where in the game when I originally released it on windows 8 back in June. Windows 8 wont be able to patch the game now as I can not afford the fee's to publish any more. Along with that the windows 8 version can not run webgl so optimization is extremely difficult. For several of the games on windows 8 I published they had to be heavily watered down after being made because of performance issues from windows 8 was terrible. I ran the game on windows 7 same computer as the windows 8 machine and in windows 8 I got maybe a frame a second with a 1366x768 game with images made in gimp with limited color pallets. I can run the game at 60fps on windows 7, so you do the math on what has better performance.

The Google play version will be updated once the Ouya version is released.

Not entirely sure what I will do with this version but I can try updating it.

I am currently not going to release any games for them as they seem to think its ok to screw someone over $2.00 in sales and try to keep raking that money in and not paying the content creators.

Kongregate version:


Only the Lite version will be here once the Googleplay & Ouya version is done... maybe...

Desktop Version:


Currentily I have no method of distrobuting this version but once I am done with Ouya, google play, chrome, and maybe Kongregate I will look into getting it on some digital distribution system. Unforchentily unlike the rest of the versions I will have to spend more time making a separate demo as I can not follow the in-app purchase model here. But on a good note I will release the source materials for the demo which will require construct 2 & its system requirements, as of right now I will try to release it under 100 events. No promises though. The reason it may take some time is I plan on releasing the game atleast over windows, and linux.

Apple product Versions:


I do not own a Mac, so there is no way for me to debug a Mac version. Along with that I am not entirely sure about the Mac development process if I need anything or not. With that being said I also will not be releasing a iOS version of the game, the fee's and requirements to develop and debug on is out of my price range.

Bus Driving 2d Experience Rush is going to Ouya

After finding out that construct 2 games can now be directly put on ouya with cocoonjs's services I have decided to port some of the best games I made from the Keep The Cash event. The first up on the block for this port job is Bus Driving 2d Experience Rush it had over 700 downloads per platform. Over 1000 on windows 8 store according to microsofts numbers. What t has to be done to port this game to ouya:

  1. Optimize the game so its not running at 5 fps on the ouya, because construct 2 engine is not optimized.(harder than it sounds)
  2. Add and follow safe-screen area guidelines.
  3. Compress the over all size of the game to fit in more content I wanted to put in.
  4. Fix a few very minor bugs.
  5. Add pause functionality.
  6. Add controls menu display.
  7. Add more controls in general.
  8. Add signs that randomly spawn.
  9. Add in grass and snow planes.
  10. Finish this all several days before Thanksgiving.
 This is going to be difficult since I want to do a lot with this game. Once I get this game done I will be working on another game.

Gridiron Thunder Ouya Wasn't Released October 30th

The release date of Gridiron Thunder was pushed back from September 15th to the 30th to October 30th. The developers MOGOTXT have gone through several law suits over their kickstarter project even before it ended. They where using kickstarter to try to exploit Ouya's Free The Games Fund promotion where they would double their funds. After those several lawsuits they decided to decline the promotion after having $171,009 from their kick starter, from 181 kickstarter accounts.

 This was obviously internally done to try to use kickstarter as a investment. After that they delayed the game to October 30th never to be heard from again, so I thought they took till November 8th to get out a few sentences about the games release. Out of that 128 of those backers seemed to be legitimate backers from the $1 - $45 mark. After that there is 1 in $75 and most from the remainder are in the $300 & up bracket which for a game and the reward there it does not seem to be adequate or add up to the reason to spend that much. The incentive is not there to invest that much from external sources.  They took those 128 backers money and ran away, hardly anyone has complained because 80 of them are in the $5 bracket. I fell into the $15 bracket along with 20 other people. They have not followed through with any of their kickstarter backer rewards. They lied to 128 people or more. The project was originally going to be done 7 days after the kickstarter was finished according to what MOGOTXT said, to those who overlooked it like I did at the time. This would mean the project is either near completion, not much effort, or it was done, implying they were using Kickstarter as a investment not to actually help them do the project they claimed to be doing.

They delayed it claiming to do more work on it but have not updated anyone on it, until November 8th 2013, several days after it was suppose to launch. They have blocked people on youtube and disabled comments after deleting them to censor the people who were angry over this. The fans are angry because they are not following through with not only the rewards from the project, but the project itself. If this is not addressed soon and resolved soon it most definitely was a scam, the unethical business practices at MOGOTXT need to be accounted for the Companies CEO should either go to jail or to pay back every last actual backer if they don't follow through soon, or at least just come out and address the matter in a way that shows they are still working on the project they claimed to be working on. 

They should be thinking of what few fans they have left after burning them so many times, with their unethical practices and non-transparency over the matter misleading many journalists, fans, and even the ouya team over something simple to resolve.

Depressed about Game Development.

For the last few months I have been depressed. Let me explain, I enjoy making games, I make games for windows , linux, chrome, and android. 1/2 a year ago I made 10 games for a promotional event for windows 8 where I was paid $100 per game I made, it lasted from march till the last day of June, Registering I ran into technical problems I was not able to publish any games to windows 8's store because it does not allow self publishing you have to pay a fee for 6 months time. I was a student at this time and they claimed students could get in for free but they required a credit card. I did not have a credit card that was the problem for about 5 months. In the mean time I had polished 1 of the games out and in that last month I would develop 9 games. After the event was over they where giving me a hard time about paying me, so I began working on porting the games to other platforms for android & chrome I began charging the gamers to purchase them. Once I made sales on Amazon app store, amazon claimed they could not verify who I was for my payments account but it used the same information I used for my tax information on my developer account. They locked me out from doing anything a crossed all of my amazon accounts, so they where not going to pay me for the 2 sales I made within the first month of the games being on there. They would not even let me pull it down so they where going to try to keep raking in money from my work. $2 a month they where probably thinking. So I naturally went into a depression, in which I did not want to do anything any more. I did end up emailing the CEO of amazon on the matter and he didn't want to help me out at all. My games where not selling on amazon or google really. So I have decided to make them all free now and I now realize how bad Companies can be and that I should just let it go its not me its them. If they want to screw someone over a penny they would abuse them as much as they possibly could.

How to use your android phone or tablet as webcam

I recently accidentally stepped on my ps2 eye toy in which I was using as a webcam for my desktop. I was annoyed about getting a new one as I have many devices with built-in webcams. Then it clicked why can't I use my phone or tablet's cameras as a webcam. I realized soon that it would have to be low resolution and transmit over IP or blue tooth. In the video I only go over IP camera but there is another application called Smart camera which can go over blue tooth but does not allow you to switch camera's if a device has more than 1 camera. 
I am sure there are many ways to do the samething this tutorial only goes over one method. 
2. Install both
3. start both apps up
4.on IP webcam scroll all the way to the bottom and click start server
5.right above the bottom ad on your device there is going to be a IP address and port number you must type that into the Configure IP Cam Adapter application like so http://YourIP address:Your Port Number/videofeed then click apply then click OK
6. Restart any applications that might be trying to use your webcam or start them up
7. You should be able to use your webcam now.

How to hook up your Ouya controller to your pc


The ouya console is a $99 android console, the controller you can pick up for around  $49.99, it is a wireless bluetooth controller. With this tutorial you can setup multiple controllers possibly even play multiplayer games that allow custom keyboard configurations. This tutorial will run through the process step by step of what you need to how to get the controller to work for games that won't register gamepads even. There are games that do work with the ouya controller once connected, this tutorial will not be covering those.

With the method I used in the tutorial I have gotten it to work with many games. Many games I tried doing before the tutorial simply would not work, some games patched that issue. There are many other methods such as x360ce which emulates a 360 gamepad instead of a keyboard that also may work, but with process's like that you have to duplicate the whole program and some anti-cheat programs see it as a hack which could ban you because it produces a modified dll file for xinput within the game files. JoyToKey seems to do it better by emulating a keyboard, even on old dos games it will work.

JoyToKey is a application that is under a shareware licenses, so it is free of cost. There is a paid version of the application that only runs USD $7.00. You do not need the paid version to use the software for the ouya controller gamepad. There is a few games that this method will not work with as it reads input from joysticks regardless. Out of those games you may run into a issue of the triggers registering as a 2nd analog stick and it will always be reading the signal from them because the ouya controller triggers are not simply buttons but they are pressure based values it is not a simple switch like the rest of the buttons.  Sonic adventure DX has this problem, and there is no way to fix it since the configure options do not detect it but the game does.

Thinking of purchasing a custom 3d printed colored ouya case, well think again. Makerbot has already claimed ownership over a blue print of 3d printed ouya custom cases, exactly like the original case. They apply creative commons non-commercial licences on them, of these objects they give you they give everyone free access to print off a ouya console case. I would understand it better if they where selling these items themselves separately but they are not.  For those with a Ouya they will want a custom colored case but many ouya console owners such as myself can not afford a 3d printer. They also apply copyleft on the models. Their implementation of the licenses ruins the whole point of copyleft and distribution. Their idea is to abuse those who actually can obtain these $1,200 & up 3d printers they purchase from them, and telling them they can't distribute the actual items they print off with it. They don't aim to help their customers by applying these abusive licenses on them. It abuses those who want a custom Ouya case, and those who want to distribute the ouya case's all because makerbot wants more sales on their overpriced 3d printers.

How to make music with music creator 6 touch


A music creator 6 tutorial with korg nanokey2 midi controller.



I recently purchased a korg midi controller $49.99 at guitar center and music creator 6 touch on steam when it was on sale for $20. In order to really use software like music creator 6 touch you will really want a midi controller at the least. Appon using music creator 6 touch I found many many issues. First of many is the program is very buggy, it crashed the first few times I used it and there is a lot of functions that use to work in music creator 6 regular that no longer work in touch. There is missing loop resources, resource libraries of tutorials that plain don't work for music creator 6 touch, and a lack of user created tutorials lead me to believe that I should make one.

Similar software out there like fruity loops has had thousands of user created plugins, and content when using music creator 6 you wont find that, if you want more virtual instruments cake walk made it very clear in their user agreement that you can't.The only option for more instruments is to purchase the expensive DLC, in which you are limited by.

There is one major issue I got with my korg nanokey2 midi controller as well one of the keys don't work at all, it is a big deal because the only way to play notes in its place is to switch oct + and try to guess which key it is at now based on the switch. This causes issues in which can only be solved in editing phases.

Both products are over charged cheap kinda rip offs. Even if both where $20 they would be rip offs as both where broken. I felt ripped off a little but I have spent more on worse. Fraps I am staring at you.

LG Motion 4g experience and review



LG motion 4g is a cell budget phone I got several months back from metropcs months ago. The phone is a small light weight smart phone with 5.59gb of storage space with a sd card slot. Its good for most simple very low end 3d games. It is smooth and fast but has a few flaws. Without rooting the phone, it is impossible to run apps off the sd card.

There is 2 camera's on the phone, the front facing camera is 640x480 camera, while the rear facing camera is a 1080p camera, good for shooting videos and taking pictures.

There is 2 speakers on the back both located in the center mid back of the phone. The problem with the speakers is the quality of the speakers are terrible, when trying to listen to music it becomes obvious that the speakers are really really cheap.

The resolution on the lg motion is a low 320x480 with 165 ppi. Colors are more vibrate than the nexus 7 but not by much.

Reviewer's demand money for this



Over the past few months I have been receiving emails demanding I pay for "reviews" which just show my android apps being played from "reviewers". These "reviewers" claim I will gain more users for my free apps while demanding I pay $150-$500 for them just to make a video exactly like this one minus my voice. Meaning they would only show game play footage, upload it on their youtube channel, and put it on their website. Yes I am aware this is advertising, but they claim it as a review in which is positive and it will magically make instantly more users. When studying the people who actually paid them off I found majority of them did not receive more users, I found that the reviews where entirely dishonest with the website users with being overly positive to a point of lying. I looked at what was wrong with it, and how I could make it more enjoyable to play. Then I remembered playing shareware titles, I can not re-call the name of it but you would try to go as far as possible, and as you went along you would get gas to continue going, I enjoyed that. I also remembered Spy Hunter for NES was that way but with crashing and getting repaired by vans. I also wanted to have a bonus score system if you drove too close to other cars it would reward you with points as you pass them by, kinda like in crazy taxi but not the same at all. I was trying to have those capabilities without completely just doing a copy paste job of the games that kinda inspired and influenced this game.

            I never intended to sell bus driver/driving 2d experience rush, nor any of the games involved with the event. It is definitly the most popular games out of the event I made no matter where I put it. But I have yet to get all the games from the event on android or chrome web browser. I am surprized by the out come, I made the game simplistic because I look for simplistic a games myself.

free game for free rush: keep the cash event 10 games



Since March I saw Windows 8 events where you get paid to make windows 8 apps. I have been trying since then to get them published. I continuously ran into authorization issues with my developer account from Microsoft. Simply because they require you to have a credit card they will not let you any other way register. Not even gift cards, vinilla visa's or anything of that nature will prevent you from them forcefully taking your personal information for "security" reasons.  Even if you are a student and they tell you that you can register for free they want all of your personal information. So I spent several months trying to find ways around it till I said screw it, I just want to publish for the events. So I finally was able to publish apps in the beginning of June just to find out its not self publishing still. If I wasn't a student I would feel royally screwed over by the $50 a year  charge. They pay for them to criticize you and not allow you to publish to the store by yourself when that is what you paid for. You will be spending 3 to 8 days waiting on them to publish the apps you made and that you paid them to publish.
